How to pick a location?
Keep in mind, all location can be found locally… Scenic location is more romantic; Urban location is more rustic and modern (cool building and funky alleys both show case great colors and texture); Parks location is natural and simple. Depending on the time of the year, any local parks will be filled with colorful trees. Do pick a location that you (and your family) enjoy going to and is comfortable.
How to better prepare yourself for the photo session?
Look polished! Coordinate with your family/partner on what to wear. Try to compliment each other from style to colors. Avoid logos or strong pattern clothing!!! You want your images to reflect who you are and not the brand you’re wearing. Most importantly, keep it simple but fun and dress comfortably.
Feel free to bring any props along (sunglasses, hats, scarf, flowers, umbrella, balloons, etc.); they will add more characters to the photos. I've had clients who used balloons, small bouquet of flowers, chalkboard, signs and etc. during their session. Their props had made their session extra unique and fun. Your props will showcase your unique style and personality.
Tips for kids: Keep them as clean as possible. Bring extra napkins, diapers and change of clothes. You may also want to bring along one of their favorite toys or snacks to keep them at ease during the photo session. Try to avoid any foods (i.e. lollypops) or drinks (i.e. fruit punch) that that will stain their face, teeth or mouths prior to the session.
What to expect during my photo session?
Keep it casual and make it fun… Do always remember to smile and be yourself! I will guide you through traditional poses. I will also take in-between snapshots and those are always the best candid shots, so always remember to smile even when you’re not looking at the camera. Another important factor is to stand close to each other. Closing the physical body gap will reflect you belong together. Whether they are your partner, spouse, kids, families or friends, always make the attempt to stand, sit or walk close to each other.
What happens after the photo session?
Portrait session turnaround time is within 3-4 day after the date of the session; Wedding event turnaround time is 4-6 weeks. An online gallery will be available via PASS with protected password to share with family and friends. Depending on which session you booked you can choose up to X amount of photos. Once you selected your photos, your photos will be available for download within 24 hours. Additional photos can be purchased at $50 each or 200 for all images.
Can you order prints?
Of course! I do offer professional prints. One of the benefits of using a professional lab is they have better quality finishing products. My lab uses Kodak Professional Supra Endura VC Digital Paper, with options for luster, glossy or metallic finishes. Pricing will be available upon request.
